A remote is located in the right front footwell. The heated and massaging front seats have position memory settings, and passengers are also provided with multi-zone climate control, a period carphone, a pop-up navigation screen, and an Alpine sound system linked with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The Azure rides on an electronically controlled adaptive suspension, and stopping power is provided by ventilated disc brakes.īeluga leather trims the seats and extends to the dashboard, armrests, and door panel inserts while burl walnut wood veneers adorn the cabin. Optional chromed 19″ alloy wheels feature Bentley center caps and were mounted with 255/45 Pirelli P Zero tires in February 2019. ![]() The seller notes that a door ding has been touched up, and two areas of paint inconsistencies are shown in the image gallery below. An accident with another motor vehicle is indicated in a November 2011 Carfax report entry, although no further information is provided. Lower front wing vents were optioned, and the Beluga-finished exterior is also complemented by a retractable Bentley “Flying B” hood ornament, a stainless-steel front grille, xenon headlights, and a color-coordinated power-operated soft top with a heated rear glass window. This Azure is now offered with three keys, manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a Carfax report, and a clean Louisiana title in the name of the seller’s LLC. The convertible is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and it was specified from the factory with lower front wing vents, chromed 19″ alloy wheels, an electronically controlled adaptive suspension, multi-zone climate control, heated and massaging front seats, Park Distance Control, a reversing camera, and a pop-up navigation screen. These systems unlike the heat only option do not have a mechanical blend door, instead the temperature of the heater core and evaporator itself is modulated to your hot-cold setting.whatThis 2008 Bentley Azure is a Beluga-over-Beluga example that has just under 10k miles following the seller’s acquisition in February 2019. Given the small diameter of the hoses it only takes a small leak and the whole system can be affected. Stock engines should have no problem with this. The engine needs to at least have 15" of vacuum to fully open the heater coolant valve. To start, you have to have a good source of vacuum. Maybe it can help someone else out with little or no heat. Seemed like a good time of the year to share what I did to overhaul the heater portion of the Ford HVAC system. Since I cannot edit the old original post, I'll repost it here with the pictures linked from my website instead of photobucket. Lastly you want to make sure the Bowden cable that connects from the dash 'hot-cold' selector is adjusted properly to the cooling and heating thermostats under that plastic cover in the engine bay. If you're confident in taking it apart go for it, if not, occasionally I see these NOS on EBay for 100-250 dollars. But I still have 3 more of these Ford HVAC systems to R&R so hopefully in the future I can cover this better. I had pictures of taking this apart, cleaning and inspecting and reassembling. It's almost analogous to working on a wrist watch as far as delicacy is concerned. The needle is the size of a hemming needle. It can be taken apart, but there are two small needle and seats (valves) in there. If it doesn't hold vacuum especially in the last test, the thermostat is dirty or has a ruptured diaphragm. Next set the thermostat to full heat and plug the port to the heater control valve and pull vacuum on the supply port. I found vacuum leaks on my reservoir can itself, especially at the top. ![]() These systems unlike the heat only option do not have a mechanical blend door, instead the temperature of the heater core and evaporator itself is modulated to your hot-cold setting. The system on these is a little odd in that it was overly complicated for what it did and still doesn't allow for dehumidified warm air to the windscreen (defrost). So no doubt, those with factory air con systems have come across a problem with the HVAC system as a whole, either little to no heat or no air con.
